STAGE 9 STUDIOS opens up the STAR TREK CONTINUES sets to fans…FOR FREE! (October 19-21)

For years, if you wanted to see the Kingsland, Georgia sets being used to film the legendary fan series STAR TREK CONTINUES, you needed to either be working on the production itself or else a very special VIP.  But now STC has wrapped filming, and the sets have been purchased by super-fan RAY TESI.  And Ray is opening the Stage 9 Studios sets for the first time ever to the fans to come, look at, take pictures of, and even talk to some of the cast and production crew of STC itself!

The event is happening in a week and a half, and is open to any fan.  No tickets are needed, and admission is FREE!  You can get a behind-the-scenes look at Stage 9 Studios‘ starship sets, walk through the corridors, visit engineering, the transporter room, sickbay, the captain’s quarters, the iconic bridge, and more!

The guests include

  • VIC MIGNOGNA – STC‘s Captain Kirk
  • CHRIS DOOHAN – STC‘s Scotty (and son of actor James Doohan)

  • KAVITA MAHARAJ – Artist best known for her acrylic medium Spock paintings

The studio will be open for three days at the following times:

FRIDAY, OCT 19 – 2:00 PM-7:00 PM

  1. I love how nobody bothers to mention Starship Farragut. If not for them STC would have never happened in Kingsland!

    1. Vic Mignogna brought in Steven Dengler, and their investment together allowed Farragut to continue filming in Georgia, move into a larger facility in Kingsland (from a smaller warehouse in St. Mary’s, GA), and built more TOS sets. I’d say the two helped each other.

  2. So, a third of a Bridge and a couple other unfinished sets. A non-licensed one to boot. Or you could visit an actual 360 Bridge that’s licensed. From someone who was in one Trek film and worked on TNG.
I’ll leave it to you to figure out where.

    1. “…and a couple other unfinished sets.”

Methinks someone needs to watch the following video… 🙂

Oh, and James Cawley’s bridge isn’t 360-degrees. It’s about 2/3. (Just trying to keep things accurate, C.)

    2. Why bother to say that, C? I enjoy STC, and I live within driving distance. My family and I are looking forward to the tour despite your negativity.

    1. Hopefully not. Kingsland is on the outskirts of the eastern edge of Michael. If probably got some heavy rain and some wind gusts, but–fingers crossed!–likely little if any damage. I’ll be checking in with Ray Tesi in the morning.
